short seminar thesis and deadlines
The primary goal of the thesis/essay is to inspire participants to reflect on their own communication in light of person centered thought and to share their perceptions with colleagues in a small team (2-3 persons).
Submission due date: 30. 04. 2015 as agreed upon in the 3rd block.
Variant A:
Literature-related study. Team chooses one article or book chapter on the Person-Centered Approach and each participant summarizes it (about 1-2 pages) and reflects on it from their own experience (about 2 pages).
Then the team members read each others documents and exchange thoughts and viewpoints. They document the results of their meeting in another 1-2 pages of their seminar thesis. Please, let me know how (i.e. by what means) you communicated with your team partners throughout your work. Did you meet face-to-face or by using a chat or email, etc.?
Variant B:
Experiential thesis.
a) Participants reflect on the group process (as described e.g. in the book on Person-Centered Communication). What did I feel/observe in myself? What happened in the whole group? (How) were the person-centered attitudes of congruence, acceptance, and empathic understanding communicated and perceived? Did the group go through Rogers' 15 phases of the group process? What do I take with me (about 3 pages)?
Then the team members read each others documents and provide feedback to each other regarding the document in connection with the group session . They document the results of their meeting in another 1-2 pages of their seminar thesis.
b) Much like a) but participants engage in "Open Case" sessions a document their sessions. Then they provide feedback on the reports of their peers.
