Proposed activities per day
Each day will include the interactive presentation of material as well as reflection and both personal and thematic exploration by participants.
Monday
Course introduction: The PCA (developmental tendency) and us in (course) context;
Elaborating a shared vision of the course
- Presentation and collaborative elaboration of course goals
- Participants and facilitator introduce themselves
- Elaborating expectations and personal learning goals of participants
- Collecting participants’ previous knowledge and experience regarding the PCA
Tuesday
Essence of active listening, sharing, and constructive communication at work
- Listening to ourselves - finding out our "inner weather"
- Elaborating characteristics of a good listener and speaker(in teams)
- Brief review of Rogers' core conditions
- [Listening, speaking, observing - active listening exercise in triads]
- [Active listening for gaining cultural sensitivity - exercise]
- Active listening demonstration (Role of attitudes and values in communication, necessity of skills)
- What is the role of Rogers' core conditions in Person-Centered Communication?
- Reflection and outlook on next unit

Studnets' day!!! No class. Suggestion: Practice active listening in everyday situations.
Thursday
Practice of listening and sharing in pairs and small teams
- Reflection of Tuesday's course-unit

- Introduction to the open-case setting (PCA collegial counselling)

- Case examples on encountering diversity at work
